MCF's Perilous 3.V Questions

Round 3.V is done. We've come a long way with MCF's Perilous!, have we not? Three sets. Fifteen rounds. We've learned a lot about each other, and popular culture. We've had some fun, but participation has dwindled lately, especially with the onset of Summer. I have no doubt MCF's Perilous! will return; there are still more pieces of the Mysterious Master Prize™ to give out. Now would be a great time for feedback as well, if anyone has any suggestions to improve or make the game more enticing when it inevitably returns. For now though, we'll be on Summer hiatus.

In MCF's Perilous! I provide 10 answers for which you, my readers, have to come up with the corresponding questions and post them on your blogs. Scoring is as follows:

1 pt=each question
2 pts=each question that matches MCF's
-1 pt=any sentences not in question form, or forgetting a question mark
15 pts=Bonus for the Best Question

Each series has five rounds, at the end of which the player with the most points gets a prize. Only I know how many prizes there are, and I know what they form when combined. Even if MCF's Perilous! runs its course before all the prizes have been given out, I'll probably think of other fun ways for you to earn them.

Here's how everyone finished up this set:

Round 1: B13 R1 10
Round 2: B13 R2 11
Round 3: B13 R3 10
Round 4: B13 R4 13
Round 5: B13 R5 27
Total: 71

Round 1: Otis R1 25
Round 2: Otis R2 10
Total: 35

Round 2: Darrell R2 25
Total: 25

Round 3: Jamie Dawn R3 10
Total: 10

Round 3: Lorna R3 25
Round 4: Lorna R4 25
Round 5: Lorna R5 12
Total: 62

B13 nailed the 15 point bonus with question #2. Alert the network executives!

And the winner is....B13! Congratulations! Check your inbox for Tauron.jpg.

Now, here are the questions I had in mind:

1. It cannot be avoided.
Could I avoid people talking about The Sopranos finale before I had a chance to see it?

2. Bill Paxton and Robert Downey.
Who are two actors with much bigger careers now that can be connected via the film Weird Science?

3. Pen Island.
What bogus pen supplier has an unfortunate URL?

4. The Paper.
What finally calls it quits in Strong Bad E-mail #173 as foretold?

5. “The ship was...full.”
What quip does the Autobot Mirage make after bailing out of a Decepticon ship?

6. He won't play the piano for the camera.
Why are there no videos online of my cat playing the piano?

7. Shirley.
Laverne or Shirley?

8. Still pretty red.
After three weeks, how are my sunburned ankles?

9. The animated version.
Which do I like better, Robin Hood: Men in Tights or Disney's Robin Hood?

10. No, Moses supposes erroneously.
Are Moses' toeses roses?
