I watch a lot of television. (Alert the media!) So when Kev Bayer posted the following, I couldn't resist.

First, I'll list my top six favorite TV shows currently on the air:

1. Heroes
2. 24
3. Prison Break
4. Lost
5. Supernatural
6. Battlestar Galactica

For the sake of narrowing things down, I've listed dramas only. Perhaps in the near future I'll revisit this with sitcoms.

Now I'll answer questions pertaining to my choices:

01. Who is your favorite character from #2?
Jack Bauer

02. Who is your least favorite character from #4?
It's difficult to pick one from the regular cast, since all are interesting, and even the minor players serve a purpose. Then there are the characters we're not supposed to like, especially the villains, but they're entertaining to watch too. So, if really pressured, I'd say Arzt, even though we weren't supposed to like him to begin with.

03. What would a crossover between #1 and #5 include?
The Winchester brothers come to Texas because of reports of a blonde woman on fire. This is how a demon killed their mother, and those of other children like Sam with unusual psychic abilities. The woman would turn out to be neither deceased nor supernatural, but merely pyrokinetic Meredith Gordon, biological mother of Claire Bennet. After fleeing from the brothers, Meredith calls Claire's biological father, Nathan Petrelli for help. Claire finds out, and she and Nathan come to Texas to straighten things out. Dean of course flirts with Claire, much to the chagrin of Sam. Before the Winchester boys can get back on the road though, they run in to an actual evil spirit, and must find its remains to salt and burn its bones in order to banish it from our plane. Fortunately for them, they've just met a woman who can control fire...

04. Who is your favorite ship from #6?
Cylon Raiders on the new series are fast, deadly, self-aware, partly biological, and have the darting red “eye” of the ambulatory robotic Cylons. I think this is a better answer than what the question probably is asking, and if it is using “ship” as that annoying internet lingo for “relationship”, then I'll go with Chief and Cally.

05. If you were to set one person from #3 and one person from #6 on a blind date, who would they be?
T-Bag and D'Anna, because I think they'd both be in for some surprises...

06. If you could meet one person from #4 and spend the day with them, who would it be, and what would you do?
The dream answer is Kate and “none of your business”, but the more realistic answer is probably Hurley who actually would hang out with me, and probably make me look thin at the mall or a comic book convention.

07. If you could change one thing about #2's plot line, what would you change?
There are a lot of thematic elements in the current season that seem to be recycled elements from past seasons, just with new characters doing the same thing. I realize it's a vague answer, but I would find some more original developments for the current season. As a specific example, Los Angeles always seems to be the center of any terrorist threat, from weapons of mass destruction to political assassination. A friend of mine pointed out a great scenario and how the show missed an opportunity to be set in China.

08. Explain a relationship between two people (not necessarily romantic) from show #5, and why you like the relationship between them.
Well, the aforementioned Sam and Dean Winchester are the only main characters, along with some recurring supporting cast, but the whole show focuses on those two. I've never had a brother(or a sister), but I've had close friends who were like siblings and I think the dynamic of bickering yet having each other's back when trouble comes is there. There's good contrast between these two characters as well. Sam is quiet, rational, spiritual, and emo. Dean is more heavy metal and classic rock, quick to spring in to battle and smoother with the ladies, at times to the point of distraction. In the episode Tall Tales, each describe a baffling X-filesesque case from their own point of view, and we get a hilarious exaggeration of how they perceive one another.

09. If the lead title characters (first name in the credits) from #1 and #3 were both drowning, and you could only save one, who would it be?
Lincoln Burrows would clearly need saving more than any of the Heroes, since Prison Break wouldn't even exist as a show if he didn't need to be rescued from death row. I think most of the characters on Heroes, which doesn't really have opening credits, could find a way to save themselves. On the other hand, if Claire was the first one credited and she was drowning, even though her healing abilities might let her survive, I'd be tempted to save the cheerleader, save the world...

10. If you could change the title characters' order in the credits for #4, what order would you choose?
These questions were clearly written for a rare breed of person who watches more television than I do. Once again I have to look online for opening credits, and like Heroes, Lost just shows the logo rather than any credit sequence, and flashes names over the screen. There's no way I'm going to figure out an order for the entire ensemble, but Terry O'Quinn should be first, followed by Evangeline Lilly, then Matthew Fox.

11. If you were able to add a new character, any kind of character you wanted, to the storyline for #6, what would the character be like, and what would their role be?
Right now, there are only two basic lifeforms on the show. There are the humans from 12 colonies, survivors making their way back to Earth, and there are the Cylons hunting them, artificial life forms they created, some mechanical, others evolved to human appearance and physiology. I'd have them answer a distress call from a ship and find an alien. This might detract from the focus of the show to introduce a third race, but eventually the stranded pilot might turn out to be a Cylon construct sent to infiltrate the fleet.

12. What happens in your favorite episode of show #2?
By now they've blurred together, especially with the aforementioned blurring of themes, so I'll just say Jack is pushed too far and does something really shocking to get the answers he needs out of a witness, whether he threatens a loved one, shoots out a knee cap, or cuts off a limb. Jack is no joke.

13. If you could kill off one of the characters in #1, who would it be and how would you do it?
I would kill Isaac. His ability to paint the future is key to moving the plot forward, but his character doesn't bring much to the show and so far he's mainly struggled with drug addiction, whined about losing his girlfriend to Peter Petrelli, who saved his life, and subsequently killed his ex-girlfriend while trying to shoot Peter. Hiro has already traveled to a possible future in which Sylar cuts out Isaac's brain, which is how he steals powers. Isaac has recently painted this scene, so if the future plays out without changing, I wouldn't miss his character, and the show wouldn't lose his ability because Sylar would have it, and Peter already learned it using his own empathic abilities. I'd miss him the least out of the other more likable characters.

14. If you got the chance to visit the set for either show #3 or show #5, which would you choose?
Supernatural is a nomadic show, with the brothers wandering the country in a ‘67 black Impala. So if the “set” for it is a classic car driving across America, I would definitely choose that over prison. I wish I had made Lost #3 or #5 though, because Hawaii looks like a nice place and I've never gone anywhere tropical.

15. If you could date anyone from any of these shows, which show and which person?
Sara Tancredi from Prison Break, to help break me out of my loneliness. Runners-up include Michelle Dessler from 24 and of course Kate from Lost. Being a “what if?” question, I assume their formidable love interests are not in the picture and all three ladies are alive and in perfect health.

OK, I don't know about the rest of you, but I need to turn off the television and go visit the outdoors for a while...

Outside? What is that?
You mean there's more to life than these screens I sit in front of all day long at work and at home?

Matthew Fox gets the first credit because he had the best agent at the time of casting!
