Phantasmic Links 9.4.05

Does anyone else feel like this weekend is just flying by? I'm still adjusting to the fact that it's September already. With time flying, and a Blog Party to prepare for, let's dive right into this week's PHANTASMIC LINKS:

Peachwater Jeff offers more hurricane donation links, as does The Incredible Hulk. Rey offers some thoughts as to why bad things happen.

You know what's wrong with America? We just don't have the variety in our vending machines that Japan offers.

Think you have a sharp visual memory? I barely got 40% on my first attempt at this deceptively simple match game and never achieved higher than 60% on subsequent tries. If you find it to be too hard, try the one with the distorted faces. If that's too easy, these patterns will stump you for sure.

It's a well-known fact, but visit The Nellie Spot to see how Google™ is going to rule the world anyway.

Want to see some exclusive Superman movie footage? It shows up at the end of this video found on The Movie Blog and it's well worth watching.

Enjoy these time paradoxes, courtesy of Neil from Novelhead.

I love seeing how far a meme spreads, and tracing the chain for as long as it remains unbroken. The music meme I posted was found on A Small Victory, and before that on Johnny Bacardi. Pop Culture Gadabout also picked up the meme from Johnny Bacardi, and Bacardi got it from Willworks. It's great to see what years people graduated and how everyone's musical tastes differed. Check out some of the other participants: Wendy, Darrell, Dave, Kelly, J-No, The Happy Husband & Mrs. Happy, and Sean. Now THAT's a good meme.

Speaking of songs, I personally get a chuckle imagining ”My Sharona” being played while watching this gif provided by Sean. “Ooh you make my motor run, my motor run....”

They're real, and it's NOT spectacular. I just found out that my gym won't be going back to it's old hours now that the Summer is over, but closing a half hour earlier than it used to. This provides much-needed motivation to get my work done during the day so I make it to the gym before they close.

I wasted so much time today trying to get a high score on Frozen Bubble. It's dangerously addictive.

Rhodester shows off his new pet. I hope it doesn't have any brainwashing abilities...

”CAAAATS IIIIIN SIIIIIINKS!!!!”

As accident-prone as I am, I'm glad I stopped doing things like this the day I got my driver's license. I'm so glad no one on my block ever owned a video camera. Also, I think I just found another tune to go with that Star Wars® gif...

Are you smart enough to scale the godtower? 85 floors, and I got stuck on the THIRD. Maybe we can all pool our resources on this one. The first answer is “Kabul”. It's up to you now...

Desktop Image offers just that, with a cool flash interface.

I was feeling pretty low after failing to beat either Frozen Bubble or godtower, but clearing all 14 levels of Tilox offered some consolation. Hat tip to In4mador.

That's enough for tonight; I hope to see you all at the Blog Party!

"My Sharona" -- hehe, very cool.

Cute cat links -- want more!!!

Desktop images -- while an interesting idea - that flash interface thing - it's kind of a pain.
