Phantasmic Links 6.1.09

June? Already? What happened to May? For that matter, what happened to the first half of 2009? As I mowed lawns, trimmed hedges, did some shopping and even found time to stroll along a local beach, I reflected upon time and its annoying tendency to slip through my fingers like sand. There is no solution, no way to slow it all down. All we can do is make the best of it, and not dwell on the past. We should be excited about our future and not having to wait as long for great things like PHANTASMIC LINKS:

(1) Here are some sweet fan-made renderings of what the Seekers might look like in the new Transformers film, if they had the color scheme from the ‘80s cartoon.

(2) Speaking of Transformers, check out some of the new toys, including...DEVASTATOR!

(3) This banned Tiny Toons episode showcased the dangers of alcohol. It only aired once apparently, but I totally remember seeing that. I think it may even have inspired me to try my first cold one...
Hat Tip: B13.

(4) SmartFish designs for planes are just one of the many exciting things in our future...

(5) One fan makes a ridiculously convincing case for Nathan Fillion as Hal Jordan in this trailer edit.

(6) When human language genes are combined with mice, can talking animals be far behind? It's a cool idea as long as they don't modify edible animals, because that would just be freaky. It'd be cool if pets could reply to us verbally, though.

(7) This Batman fan-film is dark, twisted, disturbing, Milleresque, and French.

(8) 100 of the best movie lines are crammed admirably into 200 sensational seconds.
H.T.: Sean.

(9) Can you Pick the Perp from a variety of lineups? I only averaged about 25%...

(10) Finally, enjoy a virtual aerial tour of the city!
