State of Myclofigia

Greetings and salutations, fair citizens of Myclofigia! It has been some time since I've updated you on the status of our fine mini-city, and while we still haven't reached that #1 spot, we've come a long way in a few short months.

Once a collection of green fields, we quickly expanded to farms and dirt roads. Soon, factories and suburbs sprung up, and those dirt roads became paved. Electrical lines were set up and, as our city grew, so too did her needs. Unemployment rose with the increase in population, and industry had to grow.

Industry was soon booming, and though some citizens left due to the lack of jobs, the unemployment rate was relatively low and we drew more friends to our populace. People needed to get to work, or to visit their friends and families across town. As we took up more and more of our once vacant our real estate, a better transport network was needed.

Every paradise attracts serpents, sooner or later. Myclofigia's resources and opportunities were vast, but some citizens still felt entitled to take rather than earn. When our population hit another milestone, the crime rate increased. I'm happy to report that with regular increases in security, we've managed to maintain a 0% crime rate, with the occasional single digit percentage flare-up.

One thing I haven't lost sight of as your mayor is the environment. I remember those green patches and scattered trees before we paved and built. And while nature still flourishes on the outskirts of the city, you can still find a few parks interspersed among the neighborhoods. As much as I'm looking forward to the day skyscrapers tickle our skies, there will always been green in and around Myclofigia.

Today, Myclofigia ranks at #1672 among the minicities, with a population of 726 and revenues of 162,400 Euros. Unemployment is up by 5% while the transport network is currently operating at 96% efficiency. Both the crime rate and pollution remain at 0%, and we will all remain vigilant in keeping trees up and criminals down. So thank you, fair citizens, for making our city what it is today. If you haven’t already, please bookmark our fair will-be metropolis and continue clicking once a day, because there's no limit to how big this thing can virtually become!
