Lost: Harold is an idiot. It's a character and a storyline. Sayid's wife got killed too (where is that happy ending?). Why must it always come down to a racial thing?
Water sculptures = mesmerizing beauty
Sim torture = hysterics
Polaroid blog = sadness :(
I wish I could have HEARD the interview. Initially she says he's laughing, so it sounds like a joke, but then she steers it in the more serious direction with "you don't sound pleased. I'd like to have gotten a better sense of his tone.
To me the ending was a logical progression of events flowing from his guilt over Ana Lucia and Libby and his suicide attempts established earlier in the season. His work was not yet done until he redeemed himself, which he clearly did. It's a nice story arc for Michael as an individual, with the one disappointing detail that it orphans Walt.
So far, no one on the show has had a happy ending, even when they get exactly what they want(which raises concern for Des and Penny especially with Ben's promise to Widmore of a daughter for a daughter). I only feel bad that we didn't get to have more with Michael, but the season WAS cut short by the strike. And with all the "ghosts" and/or time travel going on, who knows if we've seen the last of ANYONE. The biggest twist could be that this series ends with all the dead characters rescued after the living ones sacrifice themselves. The final timeline could have the Oceanic 6 be like Boone, Shannon, Michael, Eko, Steve(or is it Scott?) and Arzt. ;)
Thanks for the nod.
The polaroid blog is sad and moving. For some reason it reminded me of the documentary The Bridge, easily the most depressing movie I've ever seen.
