PBW: Not A Beach Day

My friends, it was bitterly, bitterly cold this past weekend. I had no idea until I got outside, and even then I didn’t think it was so bad. I drove to a beach that I must have driven past thousands of times in my life, but never actually visited. In the off-season, I’d have no trouble getting in to a residents-only parking lot and wandering around with my camera. I lasted about ten minutes before blustering wind and snow flurries came out of nowhere, and then I ducked in to my car to warm up. I tried again, and actually saw water freezing as it poured from a leaky pipe on to the sidewalk. I ended up driving to different points at the site, stepping out to take a few pictures, and then getting back in to my car. No, this past Sunday was no beach day, but today is still a Photo Blog Wednesday:
